Brother DCP-L2500D A4 Multifunction Mono Laser Printer : Cheap, easy to use and does what it should. No reason to look elsewhere for a cheap duplex laser printer,

When it works fantastic especially back to back. However it didn’t copy the whole document, only printing 3 pages. I tried everything and it wouldn’t work. A bit weird, but at this point in time i’ll put it down to operator error and not the machine. Quality of print excellent and reasonably quick. A little noisy when starting up but my last samsung printer was exceptionally quiet. Will review at a later date when i’ve played about with it a little more.

Printer good, instructions as user-friendly as a cornered rat. This is a basic laser printer which performs well, within its stated specification. Quality and speed of printing are good and pages can be printed double-sided if desired. The printer can also be used as a stand alone copier. There is no wifi connection available with this machine but for someone who does not require wifi, this is a selling point. At current prices on amazon the same printer with wifi costs about £40 more. The detailed instructions are only available online and, frankly, they are disappointing. The authors have included within one document a range of instructions covering machines with different capabilities. The result is a whole tract of writing with a maze of conflicting instructions and exclusions throughout. As an online document the instructions do not cost the manufacturers much beyond the initial drafting.

Cheap, easy to use and does what it should. No reason to look elsewhere for a cheap duplex laser printer,. Very nice printer, prints quickly and with no fuss (auto duplex is a bit slower but still works well). I’ve had similar brother printers before, they all have cheap toners and easy to use functions, and this one is no exception (sure, it came with no usb cable, but this is a really minor thing, as everyone has a bunch lying around or one can be bought for about a pound).

    The first one is still in use with quite good condition, but second one starts making noises just. This is the second brother dcp-l2500d i bought for my office. The first one is still in use with quite good condition, but second one starts making noises just after a week 🙁 which upsets me a bit. But it still does the job and i don’t see the point i have to return or exchange it. Just the noise really annoys me a bit.

    It is all great, only one thing in the same amount another. It is all great, only one thing in the same amount another model of brother printer is wireless, so why not this one. I found it later, but by then i had opened the box and don’t want to go through all the lengthy process of returning and ordering another. Rest it works fine and doing good job.

      1. The hl did this great, but this unit has a straight through path. Bought to replace a brother hl which had come to the end of it’s life and we needed a system which would scan and copy as well. Wroks well as a printer and copier. Will do duplex printing, but the time it takes to turn over the page makes it slow, so if you are doing a run of the same 2 sided document, it’s quicker to print one side and then put the pages back in and print the other side. We od a significant amount of printing on the 160 and 200gsm card which requires the manual feed. The hl did this great, but this unit has a straight through path i. It goes in the front and out the back. The problem is that there nbeeds to be a gap between the back of the printer and the wall, otherwise the pages back up and jam the printer; if the gap is to large, the pages just fall onto the floor because there is no extension on the flap to catch the pages.

    The only negative point is the lcd display, as it is difficult to read without backlight.

    Good product not all accessories in box. Have had one of these in a office for a month and ordered a second one so using same toners etc. Second one came without a power lead or the initial starter toner. Not major issues as power is a standard kettle lead and had toner in stock but not as described so be aware when opening box that you have all the bits.

      1. I am really pleased with this make and model as it does all. Recently purchased this product from amazon and compared to my old canon pixma model which only used ink cartridges this model far supersedes it. It has double sided printing which cuts down on paper costs. It is fast and not at all noisy as compared with my old model. The fact that the ink does not dry out and can be used again and again without worrying about the cost of those ink cartridges. I am really pleased with this make and model as it does all my printing. Photocopying and scanning without any fuss and is very simple to operate as well. I would highly recommend this particular model as it does all it says on the tin and is not expensive to buy and neither is the replacement ink toners which use a powder as compared to ordinary ink.
