Brother HL-1212W Compact Mono Laser Printer : Really happy with this printer

Not compatible with chromebooks. I have a hp chromebook and found out (from brother) after spending hours trying to connect over my wifi that it will not print from the cloud – so no good for chromebook users. I wish brother would state this on their packaging and on website. I now have to repackage and return to supplier at my expense.

10/10 best printer i have purchased. . Best printer i have purchased. Ink has lasted ages, not replaced the cartridge yet and it has nearly been a year, ink is also very cheap for this printer.

Very good printer easy to install.

Impressed by speed of printer and ‘price per page’ vs ink jet. Knew that we did not need scanner /colour so this would be a far more efficient choise. I was happy with purchase on non wifi model so purchased this one for my parents. They manage to pair to the wifi without my help (in 60s) so they can affirm it’s pretty easy to use. Wifi only really useful if you have a wire phobia like my mother. You can print from ipad and phonear but that takes 5 mins per device to setup and involves downloading the brother app.

    Really happy with this printer. Really happy with this printer, easy to use and configure via wps through my home wireless modem. Also the mobile app is quite fast and intuitive. Sometimes printing is a bit dirty, i can see some small imperfection even cleaning the jets but it’s fine for it’s price.

    1. I found the printer easy to use and set up. I found the printer easy to use and set up. I have a windows tablet, windows phone, an ipad and an android phone and it prints without problem from any of them. The same goes for my family’s laptops and computers. The only reason it only has 4 stars instead of 5 is that i had to go and buy a shoku adapter as mine didn’t have a uk plug and the cable is fixed.
