Brother MFC-1810 Monochrome Laser Multifunction Printer – Good price, display panel is not back-lit and print

As always brother do themselves proud.

Real good printer, very economical.

Good item, working as described but usb cable to pc is not included in package – had to spend additional money and time to get one.

  • prints good quality and much faster than any inkjet you can
  • Good entry level MFP
  • The product was properly packed like new when delivered

Good price, display panel is not back-lit and print. Good price, display panel is not back-lit and print quality was not as good as i expected from a laser printer.

Very good basic printer that does exactly what it said it would do in the description.

Features of Brother MFC-1810 Monochrome Laser Multifunction Printer

  • Enter your model number
    to make sure this fits.
  • Help increase productivity with fast print speeds (up to 20 ppm)
  • Small, space saving design with 150 sheet paper capacity and 10 sheet ADF
  • Full speed USB 2.0 interface

Does everything it says it will. Nice piece of equipment for a home office.

Excellent value, but then it has been discontinued by the maker, probably because it doesn’t have wi-fi. It’s more like a fax machine that prints than a printer, but you just have to ignore all the fax controls, etc. Takes a long time to start printing – the manual says ‘less than 10 seconds from ready mode’ but the printer goes back into ‘deep sleep’ within a minute or so of each print job, and takes 20 seconds to deliver the first sheet of most print jobs, which is disappointing. The 10 sheet feeder for scan / copy is useful (but only single sided).

  1. Prints good quality and much faster than any inkjet you can. Very economic to use, prints good quality and much faster than any inkjet you can buy. Multifunctional, but the scanner software is a slight let down. Still very reasonable price, good build, and relatively compact.

    1. The product was properly packed like new when delivered. I ordered this as i wanted a cheap mfp. It arrived very quickly, sooner than expected. It works quite well; the prints are crisp and the scanning is fast; faster than mentioned in the online reviews. It serves me well as i need occasional printing (fed up with drying of inks in deskjet printers), and frequent scanning (this has adf that makes process easier). It is compact and sits in a small shelf. The product was properly packed like new when delivered. It doesn’t connect to network or usb sticks but that is acceptable to me. The reason i give it a star less is that, it came without a connecting cable. I find this very surprising that a new printer should come without a connecting cable.

    1. Bought it as it was an entry level (cheap) laser printer and so was prepared to forego network connectivity (wired or wireless) which would have been nice but would have doubled the price. Good points are- that the glass platter is accessible so you can scan a bulky item (like a book or magazine) – some mfps only allow the document to be fed through its feeder and so is limited to single sheets- there is a document feeder for when you do have single sheets but in fact it can handle multiple sheets (up to 12 i think)only reason for lack of 5th star is that i plugged in the telephone cable (as one of the functions is fax – not that i can remember the last time i sent or received a fax). This then grabbed all inbound calls including telephone calls and so i had people complain they phoned up to be greeted with the fax tone. I have not the time or motivation to fix this so i just disconnected it from the phone line.
