Brother MFC-9140CDN Multifunction LED Printer – Excellent and very substantial

This mfc does everything i have asked of it so far. It was easy to install as was the associated software. My only reason for possibly taking away one star is the slightly awkward way in which the menu system works. However when i had one slight problem on installation the brother telephone helpline was very good to deal with. So i can’t really fault the machine, if you want the facilities it offers get one without hesitation.

Best printer i have had (and i have worked my way through a few over the years). Fast printing, great quality, easy set up, just perfect for a busy home office or small office.

Great printer, copier, scanner. Have been using this for quite a while now and i am really pleased with it. Don’t use the fax part (other than to test it when we received it), but everything else is just what i wanted.

The scanning was a major installation problem , after which we had quality scanning problewms no matter what resolution level we set for the swcanning.

Value for money/ease of use – brilliant. . Great printer, easy to set up (wirelessly or cabled) on several macs in the house, needed driver cd for windows 7 (still easy). Integration is easy too and super useful. Takes a while for 1st page but that doesn’t bother me for my use.

    The best printer i’ve ever owned. First off, i wanted a laser printer and hadn’t considered a led printer before, but after a bit of reading decided that it was probably the way to go and i’ve got to say, the quality did not disappoint. It certainly appears every bit as good as laser quality to me. Note well, this printer does not have wifi. You will need to connect to it by using a network cable if you want to use it over the network. I have wired mine into my wireless router and all works perfectly (scanning and printing). Personally, i think that he power consumption is very good. I’ve put a power meter on it for the last month and it estimates that it will cost me about £4 per year in electricity to run it. In that time i’ve printed off about 650 pages and i leave it on standby, which uses approximately 1.

    Easy to install, brilliant colour prints. Searched ages to find the right printer for the school office. Very easy to install, packaged well. Set of cartridges already in the machine which was great as the set i had ordered from another company hadnt arrived. Prints quietly, nice sharp quality.
