Canon PIXMA iP7250 Colour Inkjet Printer & Extra 2 Sets Of XL Compatible Inks : Good printer for the money

I bought this as i needed to print images directly to cd and it does the job perfectly. There are a few downsides, the software that arrives with it is rubbish. There are far superior direct to disc printing software packages out there. The printer takes a while to get going, which is irritating. The print speed for ordinary black and white documents is excellent though and, over all, the print quality of the images direct to disc is superb. As such, i’d highly recommend this printer to anyone.

Item arrived within a few days had trouble setting up. Item arrived within a few days had trouble setting up the wi-fi – but my own fault for not reading the instructions.

However this is not as user friendly as my now defunct ip 4500, but beggars who want separate ink cartridges can’t be choosers .

Have used a canon ip4700 for several years now and like it a lot. However, specs change every few months so this seemed the ideal solution to use as a travelling printer for my work. It includes direct disc printing which i require. The ip7250 seems so good so far, easy to set up although i use wired as wireless is no use for a travelling machine and i don’t have time to faff about. Far easier to bung a cable in the backi don’t particularly like having to load paper in trays underneath, what was wrong with simply loading sheets as you need them into the rear tray?. It also means that paper sizes that can be printed on are restricted to a few sizes instead of the huge range offered by the previous model. Photo print quality is very good so far, which is crucial to my work, both on glossy paper and direct print cd discs. It’s also a good looking machine, bit on the heavy side but seems pretty solid. As with all printers, canon take your eyes out with the cost of ink cartridges but i always use compatibles anyway.
