Great printer, but check the cost of consumables before purchase if you have a green conscience. . Great small footprint printer for general home/small office use. Great feature set (i bought it for apple airprint and duplex) and easy setup. However, toner replacement is prohibitively expensive. When will manufacturers stop overpricing consumables and sell them for less than the purchase price of a new printer?. Current price of the printer on amazon including toner is £125, the cheapest compatible set of toner is £175 (not high yield cartridges. ) hp cartridge sets start at over £200, with genuine high yield cartridge sets close to £300. Outrageous pricing like this, turns a perfectly serviceable printer into an uneconomical throwaway device.
Excellent home/office colour printer. Researched printers quite a bit before going with this model. Excellent home/office colour printer. Arrived promptly and was set up in about 10 minutes, including registering with hp connect which allows me to print from anywhere to the printer e-mail address. It is set up for wireless printing (painless in my case) and prints virtually instantly. Not too many prints done as yet, but the quality is excellent. Very crisp and colours rendered faithfully. This has a neat footprint on an average office desk, with computer screen and file tray and still plenty of room. I have it alongside a canon inkjet which scans. I have the best of both worlds now.
Instructions are not in english. I would have given it 5 stars but apart from what’s in the box all the other (important) information like how to set it up are not in english. So had to go online to get the english version, then the set up was straight forward and all done wirelessly. So far i got it to print from my ipad, laptop and mobile phone all wireless and simple to use. Though it is a lot bigger than inkjet printers at least you can print more pages before needing to change cartridge. As i do a lot of printing in colour this seemed the ideal choice over an inkjet printer only time will tell if this will last as long as my previous inkjet printer. So far i’m impressed and i’m also printing mostly onto card (200gsm).
Very good value (but i have a low printing volume so cost of toner is not an issue).
Fantastic printer- fast printing. Fantastic printer- fast printing, good quality, no paper jams whatsoever. Worked very easily with windows, osx, android and ios. Linux was a bit more effort, as support is fairly recent, and i have a fairly old distro. Not too much hassle, and it’s now fine in ubuntu 14. More recent distributions should support it without any hassle.
Reviews from purchasers :

- Fantastic printer- fast printing
Almost 5stars – great compact printer. Almost a 5 star review – let down by a few minor but nevertheless irritating nigglesmy son started secondary school and suddenly his use of colour inkjet printing shot up – costing me an arm in ink cartridges. It had to be a compact printer to fit in a limited space in my living room. After researching sizes, performance, features etc i settled on this model as the best overall mix of features and size. Pros (in no particular order):1) size – obviously bigger than my samsung mono laser – but still one of the smallest colour lasers i could find with an ethernet port and usable lcd menu screen. Fits on top of a pedestal will very little overhang. And also not too tall – so does not overwhelm the area. 2) comes with 1500 page black toner and 700 page colour toner – ready installed – so not quite full but enough to keep you going for a while3) lots of connectivity options: usb, wireless, wired, wifi-direct (print without joining a network) and nfc – almost all bases covered. 4) decent sized colour lcd screen for changing settings and checking status5) very low standby power usage (1.
Works well, economical, better than my previous hp laser printer.
