HP Color Laserjet CP1515N – Excellent but the cost of replacement toners, ouch!

I wanted to buy a printer that would be great for printing high qulaity, smooth pictures without that nasty inkjet look or feel. Printing from work can be a bit risky so i wanted my own printer. It was easy to set up (just follow the instructions word-for-word) and prints beautifully. I’ve had no problems thus far. Oh – just make sure your internet is connected when you set up.

You could use it as a building material or as a printer. . Quite old by 2017 standards but it is built to last, just does the job without any fuss. Picked it up a few years ago for £50 and still gives superb service when called upon.

Excellent but the cost of replacement toners, ouch. I have had one of these in a small office environment for the last 18 months. In that time it has printed probably over 10,000 sheets. Pros: excellent print quality (although i can’t comment on photo quality as i don’t print those), have had 1 (yes really) paper jam in all of that timecons: slow, it is forever doing ‘ cleaning cycles’ at inconvenient moments ie mid print-run, the eye watering cost of replacement cartridges (although to be fair, all the companies do this). I only use hp ones not compatibles at fifty pounds a pop, slightly more sometimes. The reason for five stars is for quality of print and sheer reliability. It is ideal for home use or as a shared printer between say 2 people.

Worked perfectly straight out of the box. Which incidentally contained uk mains lead, and not only continental as found by a previous reviewer. Quality of colour photograph reproduction much better than i had been led to expect. Loses one star only because the lcd panel is a bit difficult to read. Provided initial performance is maintained, then an excellent piece of kit.
