HP LaserJet Pro CP1025nw Colour Laser Printer Networked – Solid reliable device. Never a problem in over 2 years of owning one.

Nice small colour printer if a little noisy when printing. Small toner cartridge – i doubt it will last v long.

Only installed this morning (windows vista) so not had much use, but great so far. As is so common these days the manual is terse indeed and the documentation on the supplied cd not much greater. The printer took a few minutes of cycling when first powered up, which worried me but it then settled down. Did a usb install from disk which took a few minutes but worked with no problems. I then connected the printer to a router with an ethernet cable and installed on a laptop in another room. I selected wireless and the software scanned for and found the printer, then installed. Test print great – job doneas others have commented the colours are a bit over-saturated but you don’t buy a printer like this for photo quality. There are lots options for printing on card, glossy paper etc. Which may improve quality if the stock is correctly matched.

Cp1025 possible start-up problems. Not being able to use my hp colourlaserjet 2550ln with windows7, i bought myself an hp laserjet cp1025, it seemed to be able to do all i wanted according to the specification and at a very competitive price, as i loaded it into the car, i noticed a note on the box stating the usb cable was not included. . Oh deari nipped back into the shop and bought one, thankful i had seen the note before i made the journey back home. I was quite impressed with the look of the printer but was amazed at the lack of detail in how to assemble it, i still am not aware of the function of the hinged flap on the top at the front unless it is to control the printed sheets when printing a largish run. I can sympathise with the reviews published and agree that lack of instructions leave a lot to be desired, especially from a concern such as hewlett packard and as an author/illustrator before retirement, i know what should bethis is what i did:-inserted the supplied cddisc, in the dvd-rom drive. Opened up google and asked it to search for:- h10032. Pdfprinted off the index pages 167 to 170 inc.

  • Would Highly recommend
  • Prints quickly and consistently and is a good workhorse for a small work environment
  • Like wireless and Auto-off

Never a problem in over 2 years of owning one. . I have used this model since 2012 (purchased cia amazon prime) both from my ipad using airprint and my computer using a network rj45 cable. Only once i had to power off the ipad to get it to print , but the issue was with the ipad and not the printer. This is a well built printer which i cannot fault. I am looking to convince my neighbor to buy one because it has been so reliable.

Prints quickly and consistently and is a good workhorse for a small work environment. Prints quickly and consistently and is a good workhorse for a small work environment. However cartridges can be expensive so i don’t buy originals. It doesn’t do automatic back to back printing which is a little bit frustrating having to feed paper back in.

Bought this to replace a dying hp laserjet. This model was seemingly much smaller, quicker & half the price of my old printer, so i was not sure what to expect. But it delivers fast printing very quietly & in great quality. Have used it for colour photo presentations & it is pretty good with vibrant colours.

  1. Hello everyone, the hp color laserjet cp1025nw printer is a good ‘small’ colour laserjet printer, for personal, non-business use. It is best for light printing and is certainly not a ‘workhorse’ printer. Though it performs reasonably well in both colour and black-and white, it is somewhat noisy and the owners manual could have been written in a more clearer step-by-step manner. I purchased this printer as i had a good impression and experience with hp laser printers both black and white and colour, especially as a university student. This model also has a networking connection, which meant that my father, who is also a computer user, could also print using his computer in colour, when the need arose to do so. It is sad to note that this printer has now been discontinued by hp without any notice. Hopefully, this printer can prove it’s worth in the long run and carry on the esteemed reputation of hp printers in general. Best regards, sanjay wijesinghesri lanka.

I bought this for use on a home network, and it doesn’t disappoint. I prefer laser to inkjet anyway, because inkjets are invariably cheaper than their cartridges, so people tend to replace the printer rather than the cartridges, so they’re made really flimsily. The build quality of a laser is always better, and the ink (per page) is much cheaper. The toners themselves are about £40 each, and it’s best to buy the replacements in advance of them running out, so the cost doesn’t shock you. The toners do last ages though, mine have been ‘critically low’ for several month now, but the spares are on standby. That’s the humdrum stuff, now the fun stuff. It’s wireless, so it can just connect straight to your router, although i have cabled it as that suits my infrastructure better. Once it’s networked though, you can set it up with hp’s eprint and google’s cloud print services, and you can then print from anywhere, even smartphones and tablets, which is especially useful for me.

Got this printer to upgrade from my photosmart, which was killing my pocketbook with having to get new ink every 100 prints. I have used this printer for only four days but have printed well over 200 pages. I love that i dont have to worry about smudging the ink with my fingers. It was a quick install also.

      1. Finally i’ve got this working as it should. The problem was that the printer would not keep up a network connection for more than a couple of minutes. I could print a test print then it would drop the connection both on a wired and wireless network. It also did it on two different wireless routers. The only way it would print consistently was on a usb connection. In desperation i downloaded the latest firmware from hp’s website and flashed it. Now the printer works as expected – it seems reliable and works with mac, windows and ios clients (over airplay). The “manual” it comes with is awful, sub-ikea rubbish. It tells you nothing in 26 languages.

    1. Backward installation tools. This is apparently a professional printer, but aspects of it are rank amateurish. I don’t really understand what hp have done with the network configuration, but to obtain the wireless mac address for a manual wireless setup (who wants a printer on dhcp in a professional environment), the printer had to be connected to a wired network. I didn’t have to do this with my dj f4580 – i could do this all over direct usb from the tools, so why the backwards steps, hp?also, when viewing the network connection, you are as good as prompted with a temping wizard to rerun the network settings – just why is this on the same web page?so, the reality of this is that it is not an all round professional it product, but for people who don’t know better. To me, this shows hps business direction – a disregard for their future, going the same way as their computer business.

    1. It’s early days yet in the life of this printer, but so far so good. It prints in black very sharply and photos are well produced. I have had a few problems maintaining wireless connectivity so have reverted to a cable.
