Ignore the ‘low supply’ warnings. . Good little printer which works well in a small / home office environment. Occasionally bursts into life and chugs away cleaning something or other. . Original hp toner ludicrously expensive, but you can ignore the printer’s increasingly panicked messages about low supplies. I’ve been ‘out of toner’ for weeks now, but it still keeps printing fine.
It is unbelievable that hp should supply two power cables but no usb cable with this product and that amazon fail to let buyers know this so that they can order one with the printerhaving said that, the printer is delightfully easy to set up (once you’ve gone back and bought a usb cable to connect it to your computer) for a non-techie and the quality of print is first class. If amazon read their product reviews they would note that i am far from the only buyer to be baffled by the lack of a vital cable.
I have been struggling along with an hp deskjet printer for months but it just wasn’t up to the numbers and types of copies i wanted. This laserjet printer has changed my life. No more problems with printing stopping half way through a page and multiple runs are trouble free. The quality of the printouts are also excellent. The printer was very easy to set up. All round, highly recommended.
Great feature set for the price. . Hard to fault a printer with such a great spec at this price point. £140 odd quid, but with a £45 cash back from hp puts it under £100 (offer expired end of april, i’m afraid). Astonishing for a colour laser with this feature set. Airprint works great from our iphones and ipad and the printer integrates seamslessly with the mac and pc laptops in the household. Not the fastest printer in the world, but absolutely fine for the domestic use that its been bought for. It also supports duplex printing but be aware that its manual, not automatic. Removed all the packaging and toner strips, plugged it into my router, loaded the software on my computer, the computer found it instantly and away we went.
I do a fair amount of black and white printing with only occasional colour but when i do colour it has to be good quality. This printer meets my needs very well, the quality is superb and as i have this printer connected to my router via an ethernet cable there was no need for a ‘wireless’ printer. As with most printers, the consumables are expensive, so if you do a lot of colour you might find this printer expensive to run. The price was good too, i consider it to be excellent value. It was easy to set up and get started. Something that might not be clear from the description – the printer does do double-sided (duplex) printing but it’s manual so you have to turn the paper over by hand (this works ok, i’ve had no problems with it).
Reviews from purchasers :
- HP LaserJet CP1525nw Color
- Excellent printer and good value
- So far, so good! Great feature set for the price.
Easy network setup providing reliable printing from multiple computers. Recommend this printer for small business or home printing. Laser printers do not suffer from dried print heads when not used for a few days or a week.
I’m in the process of replacing my hp cp1525n (with a brother hl4140cn) after just over three years. The cp1525n now jams constantly. Pros:* good quality printing, including photos* fairly fastcons:* spends a great deal of its time calibrating and initializing itself* noisy when operating.
