HP MFP M377dw Colour LaserJet Pro Printer : Excellent home office multifunction printer

Great printer, easy to set up on the network and prints really well. Don’t understand why people persevere with inkjet printers when you can get these at such a good price.

Excellent results ludicrously fast, little consumption and crazy cheap prices. At the time of writing (06 may 2016) hp are selling this for £252 with free 48 hour delivery -and if you don’t have already have one even if your printer is working fine – go at it with a hammer anything to convince the partner / parent / sibling / flat mate that you absolutely must get one. As the previous poster mentioned, the prints both bw, colour and bw/colour at greater than 60% colour are amazing and far superior than any other laser or inkjet (my previous hp photosmart 7520 bit the dust a couple of days earlier). I just wish we had this piece of kit last year when we created all of our wedding stationery, it would have cost far less in print and with the lightning-fast [business speeds it would’ve completed before we had left the study. The cartridges are a little pricey but don’t let this put you off, the amount of pages you will get even in colour far outweighs the initial outlay. The last status report we got from the photosmart 7520 before it karked it stated 972 pages printed (over two years including our wedding stationery). To reach these dizzying numbers 😉 we burned through around 5 complete ink cartridge replacements = 5 x £52 (£260) and then the printer died at a loss of £150 so in all, £410. The ‘starter cartridges’ on the m377dw (starter as they around 75% filled to get you on your way) claim to be able to print around 1500 pages black and 1200 colour, so even if this printer kicks it on the next toner change (which being a business machine is highly improbable) i would still have managed far more prints at a lower cost than the inkjet. I am neither a print-shop nor in the graphics industry so cannot say whether this will meet such exacting standards, that said, what i can say is:if you are a home or business user, looking professional looking print-outs fo presentations, photographs, schoolwork or even everyday document re-production, in any combination of colour, b+w, 1-page, duplex etc very fast (around 12-seconds from wake-up and 3-seconds thereafter), with very low toner consumption; i would say you are crazy to consider something else. ]

Great value – works great, excellent volume. Unbelievable performance for the price.

It can print from a phone, tablet, laptop wireless with no apps to download. If you are on the go you can email an attachment to the printer (it has it’s own email address) ad the print job will be waiting on the printer when you get back to the office. Comes with four toner cartridges to get you started. High quality clear color pictures. Printer is ready to print fast from turn on or from sleep mode. I printed 16 pages in 18 seconds (text). Connect to wifi and no wires needed. The printer can print front and back pages without reloading paper.

Excellent home office multifunction printer. Excellent multifunction printer. Perfectly suited for small office / home office. Easy to scan to both mac and pc. A great relief after terrible experience and appalling usability of a huge and expensive dell all-in-one.

Had the printer about 2 months now in a home office environment. I bought a laser because we only print occasionally and inkjets just dry up. Printing is quick, clean and exactly as you’d expect from an hp laserjet. The big advantage for me is the document handler. This has allowed me to “go paperless”. I’ve been able to digitise old statements and documents i need to keep for tax purposes or as proof of purchase, and do away with whole filing cabinet (a small one admittedly – but bigger than the printer). Using the software is to make double sided scans is not difficult, and single sided scans just work. I’d have given it 5 stars except that the document handler is not good with the cheaper quality paper used by some credit card companies for their statements. Amex and barclaycard are handled fine, but lloyds tsb will usually double feedthe machine’s size is also reasonable and it drops in to power saving mode efficiently – which is good for home use.
