My only regret is that it will not scan to a txt or rtf file. My previous hp printer (hp3210) did and it worked very well. You could scan a page of text and it would become a text file, which could be manipulated in ms word (or similar). The documentation with this printer implies that this feature is free but when downloaded asks for over £100.
Does exactly what you want it to. Does exactly what you want it to. Forgot to check all the specs when i ordered it and have found out that it dies not support manual paper feed which is a little disappointing. Other than that it works a treat.

Cheap as chips – what’s not to like?. My first laser printer was an hp laserjet 2. This is the latest in my relatively short line of laser printers, all of them hp. It prints, scans, copies and faxes and it’s dead easy to use. It cost (just) less than £200. Toner is about the same price per cartridge as it was back then in the eighties. This machine has four toner cartridges where i used only to have one, so toner will cost me more of my sadly devalued pounds. I’ve sourced reused hp toner cartridges from a reputable supplier for about £100 the set so that’s not too bad. I’m using 80gm paper and there’s not a hint of the dreaded curl. I expect technology to advance and for prices to fall but this machine just leaves me gobsmacked. If it flew me to the moon i couldn’t be more pleased.
Very good, but problem with the net. Very good , but problem with the net connectation.

I bought this more than a year ago and love it. It does have to be plugged in. I bought this more than a year ago and love it. It does have to be plugged in but there is a way of making it work wirelessly via your wifi router – i have just not had the need to install it. I still have the original ink cartridges in there which were supplied with the printer. Even though it has been saying that the black ink is very low now and asking me to replace the cartridge, it’s still going strong and there is no decrease in the quality of print. The printer itself is fast and the quality of printing is outstanding. Even photographs on bog standard printer paper come out really well. The flat bed scanner is very good and fast as well. I have not used the document feeder much so can’t really comment on that.
