Ricoh SPC-240DN A4 Colour Laser Printer – wireless mono printer is cheaper if you don’t need color printing

Great printer for the price.

Ricoh wireless mono printer is cheaper if you don’t need color printing. Cartridge isn’t cheap although the printer itself is cheap enough but for a light user is good enough.

I’m very impressed with the quality of colour print outs.

  • Very happy with it so far
  • Print, print, print, bin!
  • Once you get the correct drivers it works wonderfully but I am a disappointed that they were not

Got the printer working after month’s of purchase, but was like a nightmare.

Big and bulky and a little bit noisier than i anticipated this workhorse is absolutely brilliant. Print quality is excellent and it seems to be reasonable to run in terms of toner. It has automatic duplex which is important to me. It holds masses of paper so you are not having to constantly refill it as you are with other smaller printers. If there is a drawback it can only be that the thing is so heavy that i will never be able to dust under it – but maybe that is a plus. I’m delighted with the price and the machine.

Very economical but i find it hard to use on pdf printing. I have to copy and paste the asda vouchers as it can’t reconise the printer.

Quick delivery and excellent printer at an amazing price. Quick delivery and excellent printer at an amazing price. Was frustrated with blocked nozzles with ink jet printer.

Complete bargain at £45 (and free postage), i used to own one of these 2 years ago, bought this one as i knew what i was getting. Superb printer with clear and crisp printing has a 250 sheet paper tray and is duplex so it prints on both sides of the paper if you want it to. Works 100% with windows 10 i downloaded the drivers from ricoh direct but the printer does come with a driver disk. Networking was simple – just plugged it into my router via a ethernet cable (supplied)be warned this printer comes with 1000 print toners (all colours) i have never bought replacement toners i buy a toner refill kit at £47 for the whole set (4 toners in total) you just pour the toner in and replace the page counter chip on the toner cartridge. It really is that simple, otherwise its pointless buying new toners as they can cost over £150 for a full set – it would be cheaper to throw away the printer and buy a new onefirst page from cold takes about 20-30 secs other than that its about 15 page per min in the real world. Duplex is really handy and saves on paper. Will print on card and envelopes as it has a direct through pass at the front of the printer.

For that price it’s a great basic printer for small office or intense home use.
    1. Excellent service excellent printer. This printer arrived within two days of ordering it. It was well packaged and had all the items included in the description. The print quality is excellent. Even in duplex mode using 160gms card.

  11. After losing my rag with my inkjet printer and the price of replacement ink cartridges (obviously made from unicorn tears) that last around 5 pages, i took the plunge and ordered this. It was bought for a specific set of circumstances. The kids do their homework on them sometimes and need assignments printed out. I don’t do photo printing (who the heck prints photos now?)so my wish list was a decent quality, cheap, networked laser printer. Basically a cut down office unit. Which is exactly what this is. The limited room thing seems counter intuitive as its a large unit. But as i don’t need to fill the paper every 3 minutes and change the cartridges every 5 mins, its tucked away in a cupboard. One flick of the switch and the kids can print from their pc’s and stop asking dad to drag out the inkjet, find a spot for it, retrieve the usb cable from the dog and nursemaid the thing into maybe printing 4 single sided pages in fairly ropey quality. For it to stop printing a black and white document half way through.
