Great printer, amazing photographic output for a laser printer. I have used a tiny samsung 315w colour laser for three years but unfortunately the replacement drum i purchased was faulty after three months. So it was a good idea to go for a change instead and sell off the toners. The first thing i noticed was the larger size and weight. Make sure you measure your work surface carefully. Wireless setup was easy for pad and phone but loading the printer on my excellent standalone printer was another matter. The error message after loading the driver disc said i was not the administrator. Luckily i was using windows 7 professional so it found a driver on the web. The generic driver on the samsung website gave me the same problem samsung technicians attempted to help but really did not.
Very pleased with my new printer. Ended up using laptop with direct usb after realising my pc didn’t have wifi and wasn’t close enough to use usb cable. Probably would have worked setting it up with laptop wifi, but had already connected before realising the option was there. Like the way it goes into quiet mode if you just leave it, but springs back into life as soon as you print something to it. Mainly using it in eco mode at the moment, but perfectly good quality for what i want. So much better than the old ink jet printer, as i only use it periodically and now i don’t have to worry about ink drying up. Iphone app works fine with it.
Great printer, pity about the toner. I was looking to replace my inkjet as i do a fair amount of printing and had heard that laser toners lasted much longer. This printer is big and heavy and seems well built. It was pretty easy to set upon my mac once the packaging was removed using the minimal instructions and drivers downloaded from the samsung website. It prints incredibly fast compared to an inkjet and documents seem crisper, i have not tried to print photos. But after only 50 pages i get a warning light saying my yellow toner has run out and guess what?. £250 to replace all 4 cartridgesi am hoping the new cartridges last more like the 1000 pages i was lead to expect.

Awful dark grey wash over every page. And agonising set up until i realised i need to reboot my mac for the printer to show (a step they forgot to mention). Awful grey wash over every page. Totally unusable and just received a pointless generic email from samsung support. Probably a broken fuser unit since the black toner is getting everywhere. Will probably go back to samsung shortly. Amended review: second printer received works well. But samsung, you have so many product reviews for this product saying it arrived faulty. What’s going on?great service from the supplier printerland.
Easy to set up, good print quality and wireless works perfectly (including the mobile print app). All for £180, very impressed so far.
The only thing was not happy about is paper jam two days after receiving machine and no manual,as on machine. Very difficult to get in touch with samsung but they were brilliant once did get in touchwith them and they repaired machine, which is under warranty.
Returned it for a smaller one for use in the home.
