I’ve been using laser printers pretty much since they first came out, but this is the first one i’ve owned. As far as setting up is concerned (it’s been set up as a network printer, rather than a local one) i’ve rarely come across one as easy to set up as this. Remove packaging and install toner cart, plug in mains and network cables. Insert driver disc in pc, follow the instructions and in a couple of minutes the test page appeared. This printer also supports ipv6. It’s a pity that most home network hub/switches don’t.
Really pleased with this printer. Right from getting it out of the box it was easy to set up, following the illustrated instruction leaflet. I’ve never set up a printer before, but i had this up and running within minutes. My only experience of laser printers up until now was the ones we have at work, which are slow and often won’t print for reasons best known to themselves. I was incredibly impressed by the speed that it printed out my first test sheet; i thought that the paper would be blank, as it was so fast & so quiet as well. I was amazed when i turned the paper over, and saw that it had worked perfectly. The print quality is good too, and i know that i shall use this a lot. Nice, compact machine as well.
Excellent printer and good value for money. Double sided printing is excellent feature. I would recommend this product to others.
- Fast but noisy. Simple to set-up.
- On time, to spec, excellent product.
- Great little printer
Quick printing, easy to set up and hardly curls the paper. Not too noisy but quite large.
Feels like a solid bit of kit – a small office laser you can work all day. Print is very fast, but somewhat noisy. The web clipping utility is a nice touch, but only works with ie 32-bit at the moment, hopefully they’ll extend to chrome soon. Not the most attractive printer i’ve ever seen, but has a small footprint so you can just stick it under a desk. A ‘home’ laser would be cheaper, but this is far quicker, i expect it to last longer, and it has much lower running costs.

Good printer not so helpful company. Long story but i ordered this printer through bad and misinformed advice from a retailer. It was my fault for not checking. When i wanted to return this printer i was informed i could do but at my own expense and to a german address – so not really worth it.I guess this is fair enough and it turns out to be a good little printer, especially the double sided printing which saves a lot of paper and time.
I bought this printer after my old samsung ml6060 finally wore out. The old printer gave me many years of good service hence going for a similar samsung again. This time i went for a network connected printer so my wife could also use it even when my computer was not switched on. This printer is much faster than my old printer and also has the advantage of an integrated duplex unit for double sided print whereas with the old printer i had to manually insert the paper again. So far this printer has met all my expectations and more, especially as it also came with a £40 samsung cashback so only cost me £95. 00 – just slightly more than the cost of a replacement toner cartridge for my old printeri purchased this through printerland – ordered in afternoon and it arrived the following morning – brilliant service.
