Once i got the paper correct it was fine, my old stock paper had too much moisture. Once i got the paper correct it was fine, my old stock paper had too much moisture making the paper distort badly after printing first side so unable to print the other side without jamming the machine.
Do the maths and it is clear where the cost savings were made. . Printer is excellent, easy to connect and high functionality. Just a couple of gripes: firstly the toner is £60 with savings each, so thats £250 a set. It doesn’t last very long even in eco mode, so one needs to factor this into account. Secondly, and more worrying is that the warranty is just for 1 year and samsung provide no extended warranty products to extend this. So, if your machine breaks down, a service could cost you as much, if not more than you paid. I am happy enough but only until it breaks down or needs a service.
Early days but excellent so far. If you have problems setting up the wireless function don’t use the ‘obvious’ installation window that comes up as it repeatedly refused point blank to connect to my laptop. However using the ethernet cable with the alternative wireless () link worked like a charm. Here are the specifications for the Samsung Xpress C1810W Colour Laser Printer:
- Enter your model number
to make sure this fits. - Tap and print with NFC (Near Field Communication) printing
- ReCP (Rendering Engine for Clean Pages) technology for sharper, crisper prints
- USB 2.0, Ethernet 10/100 Base TX and WLAN 802.11b/g/n connectivity
Excellent printer to replace ink jet.
Gives good solid printing reprductions.
Reviews from purchasers :
- A lot of good printer for not a lot of money
- Very good compact fairly fast printer with good printing capability and
- still delighted with it after over a year and a half.
A lot of good printer for not a lot of money. When my old colour laser packed up, i spent some time looking for a replacement. I hummed and erred about this for sometime and eventually picked the samsung based on on-line reviews. I’ve had it for only a few days but thus far i’m very impressed. It prints quickly and quietly and the print quality is very good. Even photos print with amazingly quality – perhaps not quite up to the best glossy inkjet standards, but pretty good. Installation was quick and easy. I connected the printer to my home network, loaded the cd and everything auto-ran very smoothly. The only thing i’ve had a problem with is getting the cloud print app to work with my phone. It doesn’t seem to text me the authorisation code, but i’ll keep trying and i’m confident that i can sort it out.
