This is a great printer for most uses. This is a great printer for most uses, but unfortunately for printing duplex it’s massively hit and miss. Printing single sheets is perfect, but when it winds the paper back in to print the second side it almost always comes out askew, like it’s fallen down a staircase when reading from left to right. I’ve had a replacement that does exactly the same. Samsung support told me to try 80-90gsm paper, which also yields the same results (plus 80gsm is not great for duplex printing as you can see through both sides at the same time). If you want a single sheet printer though this is lightning fast and i’ve had relatively few network issues. If you want a duplex printer look elsewhere.
Perfect for a small business. I read a lot of independent reviews before deciding on this printer, based on quality and running costs. I run a small marketing business from home and the inkjet printer is getting just too expensive to run. I could not be happier with this samsung laser printer, even when we give it some heavy workloads, it copes admirably. The cartridges also last a long time. Put it in ‘eco’ mode and it doesn’t dent your electricity bill when it’s on stand-by.
Very difficult to set up took and experienced ‘computer man’ 45+mins.
- sheets each time so the Duplex facility works to great advantage. The print is crisp and clear and
- Not the easiest wireless installation- but good now.
- but the printer is fine. Took a little time to realize that A4
Took a little time to realize that a4. Haven’t yet worked out how to work the wifi connection, but the printer is fine. Took a little time to realize that a4 paper has to stick out the back of the tray, this was not clear from the instructions. The double-sided printing facility is fun.
Ditch your deskjet and choose laser. This is my first ever laser printer. For the past 20 years i have bought mainly hp deskjet devices but of late i have become frustrated with ink issues, connectivity issues, paper jams. My last had loads of functions on a touch sensitive screen which i never used yet ate ink faster than my kids can devour a can of lemonade. All of the above is why i had had enough of deskjet sand was repaired to try something different. Enter a mono laser printer – no costly colour ink, which dries up because it is too costly to use. This printer does duplex printer really really quickly and quietly. Setup was easy, though beware when unpacking. I was covered in a black dust when i put the toner cartridge in. Duplex printing is brilliant and a feature i never thought i would get for a home office.
For mono, duplex, laser printing this should be in your shortlist. Nice printer for general, light office work. Duplex printing was a must-have for me and i only need mono/black. Just fed up with wasting money on ink so when my old inkjet died i searched for a good value laser printer. Produces high quality prints quickly. Downside: when you change the toner you do get the inevitable stink of it in the air that hangs around for a day. The paper tray sticks out the back by about an inch and is uncovered so allows dust in. I tapped a paper sheet over the back to try to keep the dust out. It’s a bit bigger than it looks.
Very easy to set up, works seamlessly on wireless. Printing interface is very flexible, like the double-sided option.
